I have a confession to make…. some of the recipes featured in my plant-based food and wine book, Merlot + Brussels Sprouts include dairy.
All recipes are considered vegetarian, but they are not 100% vegan, gluten free or anything else.
Plant-based is defined as a diet that includes lots of vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes with few to no dairy or meat products.
And friends, the Apple Pie Crostada featured here is definitely one of “the few” recipes that I would eat and enjoy BECAUSE of the buttery pie crust. 🙂
